Marie's next chapter begins: MG Partners signs at Keizersgracht 630

DME Amsterdam has signed MG Partners, an entrepreneurial investment firm, as the new tenant at Keizersgracht 630; a building named Marie after a former resident with a story of her own. The match brings together a firm built for the long term and a monument with centuries of history behind it.

Marie takes its name from Marie Katz-Geesink, wife of former Amsterdam mayor Gijsbert van Tienhoven, who resided at Keizersgracht 630 in 1880. Built around 1680 as a merchant’s mansion, the building forms part of Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed Canal Belt — a space that carries centuries with grace.
In 2022, DME Amsterdam completed a high-end, sustainable renovation that preserved Marie’s original details while adding a final layer of refinement. The result is a monument that performs: Marie holds a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification, a rare achievement for a building dating back to 1680. The property is now being further updated to fit MG Partners’ needs, ready for the years ahead.
