Cornelis is a nine-window-wide office building on Oosteinde, opposite De Nederlandsche Bank. Its historic character has been carefully preserved through a fully sustainable, gas-free transformation, complete with 120 solar panels and an A+++ energy label.

Welcome to Cornelis: an ambitious redevelopment on Oosteinde, directly opposite the recently renovated De Nederlandsche Bank and beside the green squares of Frederiksplein. Spanning four floors and approximately 1,076 sqm LFA, the building has been reshaped from the inside out; fully modernised, sustainable, and gas-free.
A Landmark Opposite De Nederlandsche Bank
Cornelis stands nine windows wide on Oosteinde, directly across from the recently renovated De Nederlandsche Bank and right next to Frederiksplein’s green public squares. Four floors and a private, landscaped car park at the rear complete a building built to work, and to be seen.
Preserving Historical Essence
The transformation of Cornelis reaches deep into its interior, improving the building’s functionality and facilities throughout, while its historical essence remains fully intact. Travertine stone brings a quiet elegance to the stairs, kitchen, and toilet areas, while oak flooring grounds the building’s modern comforts in natural, tactile material. The result is a building that carries its past forward, reshaped for how people work today.
The Future of Work
Cornelis is delivered as a fully modernised, sustainable, and entirely gas-free building. 120 solar panels, heat pumps, and heat recovery units bring it to an A+++ energy label, with a BREEAM-NL In-Use qualification of ‘Excellent’ — placing Cornelis among the most sustainable office buildings in the city.
